Our album is done being recorded...for the most part. We still need to add keys. No word on when this thing will be ready for you to listen. (Maybe by late spring?)

We have shows coming up where you will get to hear most of these new songs:

Thursday, February 5th- The Whistler Chicago, IL

Saturday, March 7th- Ronny's Chicago, IL
(Jon Drake will be performing with his band at Ronny's. If you ask Jon, Jim, Jared, or Paul for a Don Russian reunion that night we will reply with either: a.) no or b.) how much money do you got on you in cash, and maybe we'll play 2 songs for your cash)

Thursday, March 26th- Reggie's Chicago, IL

Saturday, April 4th- Gasthaus Elgin, IL

Hope to see you at one of the shows (or all of them, yeah, mainly all of them, i hope to see you at all of the shows...I hope to see you outside of the shows...I hope to see you tomorrow...What are you doing tomorrow?

The new album is coming along just peachy

mmmm, delicious peaches.

I'm sitting next to a markerboard, it's 11:30pm on saturday, january 24th. The sound of a marimba clicks and clacks near me. I am being photographed. A Bear calls out in the night. Ryan is playing super nintendo. This is a studio. An album is being recorded. Elephant Gun returns to the studio to record their follow up to 2008's KP.

I can safely say that this record will sound different from our first one. The presence of a dead spirit, possibly locked in a garage, is amongst us. Snow Monkeys. This record has an earthy quality to it. Not unlike human-animal consensual coitus on top of a deceased animal.

A cat strikes my fancy whilst we canoodle on a dead bear.

The plan is to finish recording the record on Sunday. In less than 24 hours I will be:

1. naked
2. starving
3. drunk
4. listening to rough mixes of the new ElephantGun record!

Looking for the following items:
Coffee Cups
Garbage Bags
Hot Wings

We love our fans and we can't wait to release our new material!

We are going to be going into the studio... or in our case Todd Pott's luxuriously high ceilinged basement to record our next album with Joe Gac. We have no idea when it is going be released... Spring? Summer? Fall? 10,000 years from now?

It is going to be released on Cassette Deck and has no title, but will feature 10 or 11 songs.

In December we recorded some terrible sounding practice demos and one of the songs we ended up recording was a cover of Bust!'s "Inawhile." You can download it here:
